Love your enemy!

You can't force everyone to like you. That's life.

No matter how good you were to others, there's always a small group of people who don't like you.

This is the reality. The world has been broken. hatred have ruled the world. people hate each other, even without a reason.

We love because he first loved us. Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. (1 John 4:19, 20 NIV)

If u love Jesus, u have to love everyonee!

What should we do?

Do to others as you would have them do to you. (Luke 6:31 NIV)

Keep doing good things to everyone, even to those who hate you!

But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, (Matthew 5:44 NIV)

Love them! Pray for them!

Don't be like the worldly, be good to everyone. Let your light shine, let people see there is something different in us, let the world see Jesus in us!

we live in this world, but we can't use the standard of the world. It's all about Him, it's the standard of heaven. It's not the world who has the authority to determines what we do, but do the things that please Him. then we could be called the children of God's kingdom !

What will we get?

But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. (Luke 6:35 NIV)

We'll get our very own reward in heaven ;)

Ask & It will be given to you

It's been sooooo loooong since my last post! It's not because His blessings in my life has stopped. His blessings are always there and always new every day !! Yeay

I'm just so busy lately with all the " new college student " stuff. But even i'm not posting, i believe we all can be a blessing for peoples through our life :)

As I said earlier, i'm a "new college student" and today is my second week. At first, i'm so afraid. So to make it easier, i'll write in bahasa half, like gado-gado. hahaha! I was thinking like " Dapat teman ga ya? ", " Bisa ga ya ? " and so on. Pokoknya i know it's not easy to be in a new atmosphere. Even though i'm a person who easily adapt, but I still worry. Come on, i'm gonna spend 4 years here,, what if i don't have any friends? What if i can't adapt there? And how about the lesson ? Am i gonna enjoy it?

So, about a month before my first day of orientation, I kept praying about it. One day, i read Matthew 7:7 " ASK AND IT WILL BE GIVEN TO YOU ". and i was like... Hmm.. How great is our God.. Ada begitu banyak orang berdoa setiap hari, asking for A, B, C, and so on- all different things. But there's nothing He can't give, cause He is The Creator, He owned everything in this world. What He can't give for us, His beloved daughter and son ?

But before we ask, remember Matthew 6:33 : " But seek first His Kingdom and His Righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. " Cari Kerajaannya dulu, cari Dia, cari Yesus dulu, after that Matthew 6:34a : "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow." Percayalah, kalau kita sudah cari Dia, bukan kita yang mencari berkat, tapi berkat yang berbondong-bondong menghampiri kita! And no more worries! cause He will give everything, everything that we ask! (as long as it's goood yah)

And now i can proudly say, He answered me. It's my second week and I really love it. I got so many new friends ( they are a w e s o m e ), and some of them are Christians. I'm so happy we can join the Christian event together, growing in Jesus together. Hehe. I also enjoying the lesson and increasingly convinced that studying law is my passion. ~~

What can I do for my country, Indonesia ?

Holaaa! As we know, Indonesia baru saja merayakan hari kemerdekaan ke-68 pada tanggal 17 Agustus 2013 kemarin.. jadi post kali ini spesial tentang " Apa yang bisa kita lakukan untuk Indonesia ? " 

Indonesia merupakan sebuah negara yang luar biasa, dengan penduduknya yang super banyak, suku, bahasa, adat dan budayanya pun sangat beragam. Bukan hanya itu saja, Tuhan juga menyediakan begitu banyak sumber daya alam di negeri ini. Bersyukurlah apabilah kita terlahir di Indonesia. Hal ini berarti God has a plan for us. Tuhan pasti punya alasan kenapa kita dilahirkan di Indonesia. Nah, sebagai anak-anak Tuhan, kita harus ambil bagian dalam ' menyelamatkan bangsa ' ! 

Bagaimana cara menyelamatkan sebuah bangsa?

Let's open the bible, Kejadian 18:16-33 bercerita saat Tuhan hendak memusnahkan kota Sodom karena begitu banyak dosa yang mereka lakukan. Ketika itu, Tuhan menyampaikan keinginannya untuk memusnahkan kota Sodom kepada Abraham. Shortly, Abraham bertanya kepada Tuhan bagaimana dengan orang-orang 'benar' yang ada di kota itu? Apakah Tuhan akan memusnahkan orang benar sama seperti orang fasik? 

 (32) Katanya: "Janganlah kiranya Tuhan murka, kalau aku berkata lagi sekali ini saja. Sekiranya sepuluh didapati di sana?" Firman-Nya: "Aku tidak akan memusnahkannya karena yang sepuluh itu"

Jelas sekali Tuhan ingin menunjukkan seberapa pentingnya "orang benar" dalam sebuah bangsa. Apabila ada 10 orang benar di kota Sodom, Tuhan tidak akan memusnahkan Sodom. Bagaimana jika ada banyak orang benar di Indonesia? Pasti Indonesia akan menjadi negara yang sangat amat diberkati. 

Jadi, sebagai orang Kristen, sebagai anak Bapa, kita harus hidup sebagai orang benar. Karena nasib sebuah bangsa ditentukan oleh orang-orang benar di dalamnya. Kesimpulannya : nasib Indonesia ada di tangan kita! Tugas kita sekarang adalah menjadi orang yang benar di hadapan-Nya dan memberitakan injil kepada bangsa ini, semakin banyak orang yang diselamatkan, semakin banyak orang benar, maka Indonesia semakin diberkati!

FRUITFUL

All people grow, but not everyone is fruitful.

As a Christian, God doesn't want us just to grow grow and grow. But, He want us to be Fruitful.

How to be fruitful?
Let's open the bible John 15 ( u hve to read the whole John 15!! it's really good )

Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. (John 15:4 NIV)

To be a fruitful person, we should remain in Him. When we draw closer to Him, we will bear so much fruit. But when we apart from Him, we can do nothing!

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. (John 15:4, 16 NIV)

Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, “May you never bear fruit again!” Immediately the tree withered. (Matthew 21:19 NIV)

Just like a fig tree, we should be fruitful. When God saw that unfruitful tree, He got angry and suddenly the tree withered. That's what will happen if we do not bear fruit.

A tree never eat the fruit of the tree itself. But, the fruit will be enjoyed by others.

When we bear fruit, our life will become a blessing for others!

Just like each tree produces different fruits, humans are the same.

He created each of us differently. That's why we all produce our own fruit.

So wherever He puts us, we have to be fruitful in the place that He has entrusted to us.

The "Special Fruit" that He has given to us isn't just for ourself.

Be merciful and share it to others!

Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. (Matthew 5:7 NIV)

Our lives should be a blessing for peoples around us. Our lives should be useful for others, for our friends, family, our nation and our country.

Do your vision & God will provide everything!

Those who are kind benefit themselves, but the cruel bring ruin on themselves. (Proverbs 11:17 NIV)

" The more we bless, we are more blessed."

LEVEL UP!

Do you ever get bored or feel tired with your life?
Maybe always stuck in the same level?

Yes, u re now reading the right blog! Cause now i'm going to uncover the secrets of how to get a breakthrough in life (fr winter camp by Ps. Nala). We all know that God has a great plan for us, all of us. But why some people experience extraordinary things in their lives? While others are stuck in their so-so life? Always in the same level, no progress at all.
It's not because God doesn't love us. But maybe there's something wrong with us. We need to reflect on these things according to the Bible, so that we can get a true understanding.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV)

1. Open ourselves to Him

As a father care to his children, that's how God care to us. He is willing to listen to every single problem that we face. But sometimes we are the one who hide from Him.
From now on, try to open ourselves. Don't be fake to Him. Just be yourself and tell Him everything. Deep cries out to Him. Openness is the beginning of a recovery. When we open up to Him, breaktrough will happen. Level up will happen. And our life will be a blessing for many people!

2. Sacrifice

Breakthrough occurs through a long process of price paid. God Himself has sacrificed His greatest treasure for us; His Son, Jesus Christ.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16 NIV)

So, what should we sacrifice to Him? Our time. Out of 24 hours a day, can't we use about 15 minutes for Him? Come to Him, enjoy His presence, pray to Him, worship Him, and read His Words.
All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. (John 6:37 NIV)

3. Vision

Don't ask for money, position, and stuff like that to Him. Ask for a vision. When we have a vision in our life, we know what is our goal and we will always find ways to reach it. But remember, the vision of our life should be to glorify God, cause that's what we were created for~

Try to do these 3 things above. And a breakthrough will soon happen in your life! Be ready for level up! Yeayy

Prince of Peace

Lately i feel so confused about my future. I don't know where to study, what course should i take, i don't even know my dream, i don't know what is my real passion, and what i wanna be in the future. Actually i've been applying to a university. But when the time is getting closer, i was like.. God is it the right place? God, is it my real passion? Should i change my course? and so on.

What makes me more confused is people's advices. Some people say A, but the other say B. ( but i'm so so so grateful that God gave me so many friends who really care bout me ). Shortly, i asked my eldest sister. She gave me her advice and this bible verse

PHP 4:6-7 NIV

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

then she told me " Peace comes after gratitude to God ". 

I'm so helped and blessed by her advice. I learned that we can't find peace by our own. We can't also find peace from other. But we can only find peace in Jesus. Why? Because He is a Prince of Peace.

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6 NIV)

These days i really pray, pray, and pray. Finally, today He answered me and i've made my final decision. hehe. What i can tell u guys is our God, Jesus Christ, He is Peace. So if you are confused right now, maybe to choose this or that, firstly you should have a grateful heart (that will lead you to peace), and always remember one thing, choose the one which gives you peace. When it comes to bring real peace, it's always God. Cause He is the only source of peace. (the real and eternal one)

BIC Winter Camp 2013

Holaaa! Finally i'm back! So the last two weeks i went to melbourne to visit my sister. Unplanned, BIC Winter Camp 2013 held when i was there. Shortly, i joined in the camp. I believe that was not a coincidence, but it was God's plan for me to be in that camp. I'm so grateful for the chance to be in that very amazing camp. I felt a very powerful presence of God there. I also learned so many things from the camp and i will share a few things in this blog...

1. Do not focus on man, but on Him

Consciously or not, sometimes we put our focus on man, not on God. This is my own story. When i went to church, I used to focus on the priest who's preaching that day. So, when i don't really like the priest who's gonna preach that day, there are two possibility. First, i don't go to church. Second, i'm going but not listening. In this camp, i learned that my focus should be on God, not on man. It doesn't matter who's gonna preach as long as He is the focus of the preaching. So don't ever underestimate His servant. Whether he/she is still newbie, young, not famous, or whatever. Cause our God love to do impossible things. He can use anyone. He can use the people around you. And even you're not a pastor, priest, or preacher, if He wanna use you, He can and He will. So, let's keep our eyes focus on God! Not because who i am, but because who You are!

2. Be ready to experience unimaginable things in God

Our God is magnificent, eternally wonderful, glorious! He can do all things. What seems impossible in our eyes is totally possible for Him. He want us to be ready. Ready to see the impossible happens, ready to experience unimaginable things with Him. Don't think to much. Don't put too much logic. Just believe, and let He works in His own way!

So the 2 points above is what i wanna share for now. Wait for my next blog! I will share the preaching of several sessions next time!

How to Conquer Discouragement

Siapa orang di dunia ini yang tidak pernah merasakan kekecewaan?

Saya rasa semua orang pasti pernah mengewakan dan dikecewakan...

Bahkan seringkali kekecewaan kita berujung kepada keputusasaan.

Tapi, apakah kita mau dikalahkan oleh keputusasaan ?

How to Conquer Discouragement?

Satu-satunya cara untuk melawan rasa keputusasaan adalah HARAPAN

Terkadang keadaan di sekeliling kita membuat kita berkata "Tidak mungkin", "Sudah tidak ada lagi harapan", dan perkataan negatif lainnya. Well, there is always a hope. An everlasting hope...

It's Jesus Christ. 

Mengapa pengharapan itu penting?

" Pengharapan itu adalah sauh yang kuat dan aman bagi jiwa kita." - Ibrani 6:19a

Berbicara tentang sauh. Sauh adalah jangkar yang terbuat dari besi yang dilabuhkan dari kapal ke dasar laut supaya kapal dapat berhenti. Alkitab mengambarkan pengharapan bagaikan sebuah jangkar. 

Ada beberapa hal yang dapat kita lihat dari sebuah sauh atau jangkar :

1. KEDEKATAN

Untuk dapat menghentikan kapal, tentunya jangkar akan dilabuhkan pada saat kapal sudah mendekati tujuan. Kedekatan dalam hal pengharapan berarti kedekatan kita dengan Tuhan.

" Demikianlah tinggal ketiga hal ini, yaitu iman, pengharapan, dan kasih. " - 1 Korintus 13:13

Pengharapan adalah salah satu ciri orang yang dekat kepada Allah. Jadi agar dapat menjadi orang yang berpengharapan, kita harus mendekatkan diri kepada-Nya. 

" Hanya pada Allah saja kiranya aku tenang, sebab dari pada-Nyalah harapanku." - Mazmur 62:5

Bagaimana cara mendekatkan diri kepada-Nya? Read His Words. Mulailah membaca alkitab, alkitab akan membuat kita semakin mengenal pribadi Yesus. Alkitab juga menguatkan kita saat kita mulai goyah dan putus asa. 

2. KEPERCAYAAN

Seseorang yang bertugas melemparkan jangkar ke dasar laut tidak akan melemparkan jangkar apabila ia masih ragu-ragu. Ia akan melemparkannya saat ia percaya bahwa sudah tepat waktunya untuk ia melemparkan jangkar tersebut. Kepercayaan dalam hal pengharapan adalah mempercayai Tuhan Yesus 100%, percaya bahwa Our God is Bigger Than Our Problems. 

Bagaimana kita berharap kepada-Nya saat keputusasaan melanda. Bagaimana kita menyerahkan seluruh beban kita kepada-Nya dan percaya bahwa Yesus punya jawaban untuk setiap persoalan hidup kita.

" Pada waktu itu seorang perempuan yang sudah dua belas tahun lamanya menderita pendarahan maju mendekati Yesus dari belakang dan menjamah jumbai jubah-Nya. Karena katanya dalam hatinya: Asal kujamah saja jubah-Nya, aku akan sembuh." - Matius 9:20-21

Penggalan ayat di atas adalah salah satu cerita paling menarik di alkitab. Seorang wanita yang menderita pendarahan selama 12 tahun mendekati Yesus. Ia memiliki iman yang luar biasa bahwa ia akan sembuh apabila ia menjamah jumbai jubah-Nya. Yesus tidak mengurapi wanita ini, Yesus tidak tumpang tangan, yang membuat wanita ini sembuh adalah iman. Wanita ini sungguh beriman. Ia percaya bahwa di dalam Yesus ada pengharapan, ada kesembuhan.

" Dan karena kepercayaan dalam Nama Yesus, maka Nama itu telah menguatkan orang yang kamu lihat dan kamu kenal ini; dan kepercayaan itu telah memberi kesembuhan kepada orang ini di depan kamu semua. " - Kisah Para Rasul 3:16

Kepercayaan berbicara tentang iman. Iman adalah dasar dari segala sesuatu yang kita harapkan dan bukti dari segala sesuatu yang tidak kita lihat (Ibrani 11:1) 

Bagaimana caranya melatih iman kita kepada Allah?

" Jadi, iman timbul dari pendengaran, dan pendengaran oleh firman Kristus." - Roma 10:17

3. KOMUNIKASI

Di zaman yang modern ini, semuanya serba wireless. Tapi belum pernah ada jangkar yang wireless. Jangkar selalu terhubung dengan talinya. Hal ini berbicara tentang komunikasi. Menjadi orang Kristen bukan berbicara tentang agama, melainkan hubungan pribadi kita dengan Yesus. Yesus mau setiap kita punya hubungan intim dengan-Nya. Doa adalah napas orang percaya. Doa adalah cara kita berkomunikasi dengan-Nya.

" Tetaplah Berdoa." - 1 Tesalonika 5:17

Ketika putus asa melanda, mulailah berdoa. Berdoa agar Yesus menguatkan dan memberi pengharapan kepada kita. Mungkin doa kita tidak langsung dijawab. Bersabarlah. Our God is an Awesome God. His Plan, His Way, and His Time.

" Tetapi jika engkau berdoa, masuklah ke dalam kamarmu, tutuplah pintu dan berdoalah kepada Bapamu yang ada di tempat tersembunyi. Maka Bapamu yang melihat yang tersembunyi akan membalasnya kepadamu." - Matius 6:6

CONCLUSION

Kita boleh kecewa, boleh putus asa, tetapi jangan pernah kehilangan pengaharapan, dan harapan yang sejati hanya ada di dalam Tuhan Yesus.
